Subitems, subitems, subitems…

Do you feel the miss of something when you face with subitems? I bet the first thing you do is that you ask aloud: “What’s that?” or “How it works?” Ok, let me explain what subitems are and how useful this feature is.

Imaging you have xooArticles installed on your server and you know what you are going to write about. Say, you will write reviews on gadgets. iPhone, iPod are gadgets, right? Let’s create profiles for iPod versions – iPod nano, iPod mini, iPod 5G, ets. Every profile contains some data. For iPod those data are type, connectivity, media capabilities, OS, input, power, CPU, storage capacity, display, etc… Well, in fact all these profiles for iPod versions are subitems.

So every time when you decide to post about iPod mini, there is no necessity in typing all its characteristics million times in every post because you have already been created a profile for this version of iPod. Your reader will just click profile and get all the info about the gadget you have an article written about.

Another important feature of subitems is in its SEO sense. With subitems you will get so many pages on your website. And the more pages your website has the better positions in SERP’s you get.

What else to say… one feature – double revenue.

See ya.

So... If I understand you guys correctly - subitems are NOT subcategories. It's more like an extra description or more detailed description of some category. Am I right?

May be for more visual example you should create some subitems here, on this blog.

Thanks

Sergey, if you click this link: http://www.intelliants.com/blog/browse/subitems/index.htm you will be able to see 3 subitems. Before I submit a post, those 3 subitems appear with check boxes. If my post is directly relevant to xooArticles, I simply check the "xooArticles Publishing Suite" subitem off, if it's relevant to all 3 products I check off all of the subitems.
